Generation and Focusing of Orbital Angular Momentum Based on Polarized Reflectarray at Microwave Frequency

A novel polarized reflectarray is designed, fabricated, and experimentally characterized to show its flexibility efficiency control wave generation focusing of orbital angular momentum (OAM) vortices with desirable OAM modes in the microwave frequency regime. In order rigorously study OAM, a versatile analytical theory proposed theoretically compensation phase reflectarray. Two prototypes reflectarrays are fabricated at 12 GHz: one for OAM-carrying beams. Compared OAM-generating reflectarray, vortex can significantly reduce beam diameter, this further improve transmission We also that numerical experimental results agree very well. The design method may spur development new efficient approaches generate focus waves applications wireless communications.
